Senior/Medior Game and SDK Developer – Typescript and Java (fulltime) Location Kiev

In this position you will be part of our existing development team and will work with creative and technical teams. You will be building games in our brand-new Typescript based SDK and will also be responsible for maintenance and support of our existing, highly animated games which are built in a Java based SDK. Furthermore, you will align with and support external game development partners which are located in the Netherlands, Ukraine and Slovakia. This role will suit a developer who is passionate, service minded, responsible and self-motivated, preferably with experience in the online gaming industry, web development or mobile UI/UX-space and preferably with affinity/experience in processing all sorts of game assets while improving the total game experience for the players.

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintenance and support of proprietary Java SDK-framework and of existing games
  • Support with integrations of existing games into client platforms
  • New game development based on our proprietary Typescript-based SDK
  • Develop new innovative (2D/3D) game features
  • Support internal team as trusted advisor/expert of frontend development topics, which concerns mainly graphics and audio

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • At least two years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience with the PixiJS framework
  • Profound skills, experience and knowledge of frontend technologies, i.e. JAVA/HTML5/JavaScript/CSS/TypeScript
  • Bonus points for skills and knowledge of graphical software like Adobe Photoshop and TexturePacker
  • Knowledge of web communication protocols
  • Be able to work independently and proactively, but also as part of a motivated team
  • Be organized and have an eye for detail while also adopting a practical, flexible and hands-on approach towards your work
  • You adapt easily to organizational changes
  • Required to work well and effectively under pressure, to be pro-active and experience in dealing with small teams building strong working relationships
  • Languages: fluent in English both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in the gaming/IT industry is a must


MANDETORY SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Java 8
  • Profician in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
  • Familiarity with concepts of MVC
  • Understanding of Dependency Injection
  • Experience with annotation processing
  • Experience with Gradle build system
  • GWT (http://www.gwtproject.org)
  • Game development experience, or at least knowledge of common audio and image formats
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, DOM API, Websockets, Web Audio
  • Understanding of code versioning systems, such as Git (GIT)
