Game Mathematician

Stakelogic is seeking a skilled Game Mathematician to join our dynamic game design and production teams. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing innovative game features, designing well-balanced PAR sheets, and building simulations to ensure the accuracy of mathematical models. You’ll also contribute to the ideation and development of new game concepts.

Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with our development teams based in Eindhoven, Ukraine, and Serbia. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in the online gaming industry—someone who is passionate, detail-oriented, service-minded, and self-motivated. Programming experience for creating simulations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to new game concepts.
  • Develop new slot game features.
  • Calculate and simulate game mathematics in Excel or through self-written simulation code.
  • Create and maintain game design documentation.
  • Evaluate and improve external game specifications.
  • Provide support for game server and game client implementations.
  • Support game testers/Q&A.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and expert on feature behaviors and implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with external international game development teams.
  • Assist with integrations of existing games into client platforms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position, particularly with iGaming or slot games.
  • Ability to think like a player and create calculation models that ensure an entertaining and balanced game flow.
  • Familiarity with industry jargon and common game features.
  • Proficiency in designing both high- and low-volatility games with engaging gameplay.
  • Excellent understanding of statistics and probabilities.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages like Java, C#, and/or C++.
  • Senior-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • Analytical mindset with great attention to detail, combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to adapt to organizational changes and remain effective under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and trustworthy.
