(Junior) Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, licensing, and partnership contracts.
  • Assess legal risks and advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technical, Finance, and Product, to ensure contracts align with business objectives.
  • Support internal legal initiatives and cross-departmental projects.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Recent law graduate or up to three years of in-house experience as a legal counsel.
  • Fluent in English with strong drafting skills. Additional languages are a valuable plus.
  • Primary focus on developing, maintaining, and improving our contractual framework and templates.
  • Preferably based in Malta, the Benelux region, or the Netherlands.
  • Open to hybrid working arrangements depending on experience.
  • Multilingual candidates are preferred, given our international operations.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); a Master of Laws (LLM) is preferred.
  • Up to 3 years of experience as a legal counsel. Experience in technology or iGaming is a strong plus.
  • Proven expertise in commercial contract management with a track record of drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex agreements.
  • Basic understanding of legal frameworks related to technology, intellectual property, and data privacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to contract review and risk assessment.
