KYC Specialist
The Compliance Specialist – KYC, AML & Due Diligence is based in Malta and forms part of Stakelogic’s Compliance team, supporting the company’s AML/CFT compliance framework and international B2B operations within the iGaming industry.
Reporting directly to the Director of Legal & Compliance Affairs, the role works closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), as well as the Legal, Regulatory Compliance, and Technical Compliance functions. The primary focus is on KYC, AML, and Due Diligence activities, including customer and supplier due diligence, KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, ongoing monitoring, and risk assessments.
The role also supports the wider compliance framework through the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, regulatory reviews, audits, and the identification and escalation of compliance risks.
Essential Duties
- Manage and oversee KYC, CDD, EDD, and sanctions screening for customers and suppliers in line with applicable AML/CFT and sanctions regulations.
- Implement and monitor customer and supplier risk assessments throughout their lifecycle in accordance with the company’s compliance policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate higher-risk customer and supplier relationships to the Director of Legal & Compliance Affairs, MLRO, and COO where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of KYC, CDD, EDD, risk assessments, and supplier screenings to support ongoing operations and regulatory reporting.
- Investigate compliance incidents relating to gaming operations and customer or supplier relationships, identify risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures in line with applicable gaming laws, industry standards, internal requirements, and the Compliance Plan of Sega Sammy Creations Inc.
- Monitor relevant gaming laws, regulations, AML/CFT requirements, sanctions requirements, and industry developments.
- Support timely internal communication and training initiatives relating to compliance requirements and regulatory changes.
- Support Regulatory Compliance with due diligence activities relating to the application and renewal of iGaming licences.
- Identify and assess areas of compliance risk and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Conduct and support compliance audits and investigations, including the preparation of supporting documentation and incident reports.
- Develop action plans to address compliance breaches and help prevent recurrence.
- Advise internal stakeholders on appropriate mitigation measures for identified compliance risks.
- Support group-level compliance projects and other compliance governance activities as directed by the Director of Legal & Compliance Affairs or senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Criminology, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications or training in AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, sanctions, compliance, or risk management are considered a strong advantage.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in KYC, AML, or Compliance, preferably within regulated industries such as financial services, iGaming, or technology.
- Practical experience with customer and supplier due diligence, risk assessments, and screening processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as collaboration tools.
- Experience with KYC and compliance systems such as OneTrust, World-Check, KYCmatic, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with case management systems, screening tools, and databases used for customer due diligence and AML processes is considered an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Additional languages relevant to the jurisdictions in which the Group operates are considered an advantage.

Travel Requirements
Occasional travel may be required to attend industry events, legal or regulatory meetings, or visits to Stakelogic offices in Serbia, the Netherlands, or Malta.
