Legal Advisor

This position is suitable for a legal professional with 3+ years of relevant in-house experience, preferably within the gaming, entertainment, media, or technology industry. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in EU contract law, corporate law, and intellectual property law, and be comfortable working autonomously within an international, fast-paced iGaming technology environment.

The primary focus of the role is to provide practical legal advice and take ownership of Stakelogic’s legal administrative matters. You will independently draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and IP-related agreements, while supporting commercial teams with contract negotiations, deal execution, and wider business objectives.

The role also includes supporting corporate governance matters, advising on intellectual property matters, and contributing to legal, regulatory, and technical compliance projects arising from EU directives and applicable legislation. Complex or high-risk matters will be escalated to the Legal Lead and the Director of Legal & Compliance Affairs where appropriate.

Essential Duties

  • Provide practical legal advice and administrative support to the Legal Department and wider business, working closely with the Legal Lead – Contracting & Intellectual Property and the Director of Legal & Compliance Affairs.
  • Independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including B2B licensing, distribution and content supply agreements with operators and aggregators, vendor agreements, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, standard clauses, contractual playbooks, and contracting procedures.
  • Oversee corporate governance and contract administration activities, including contract approvals, execution, and signature workflows using tools such as DocuSign and ApprovalMax.
  • Ensure accurate internal legal records and contract registers are maintained.
  • Drive improvements to legal tools and processes, including the use of AI-powered legal tools to streamline legal operations.
  • Coordinate and support intellectual property administration, including trademark, copyright, design rights, patents, and other relevant filings and registrations.
  • Maintain intellectual property portfolio records, monitor deadlines and renewals, and support opposition and infringement matters in coordination with external advisers.
  • Liaise with the parent company’s Intellectual Property and Legal Department where required.
  • Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical advice to internal stakeholders on contractual, intellectual property, and commercial matters.
  • Contribute to internal legal reporting and ongoing Legal Department projects.
  • Support internal governance and corporate approval processes, including preparing corporate documentation and resolutions in coordination with the Corporate Planning department and the Director of Legal & Compliance Affairs.
  • Collaborate with the Regulatory and Technical Compliance teams on matters where legal and regulatory compliance intersect, including licensing and regulatory requirements across the jurisdictions in which the Company operates.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Corporate, Commercial, Technology, or Intellectual Property Law.
  • 3+ years of relevant in-house legal experience within a gaming or iGaming company, whether B2C or B2B, or in a similar role within the entertainment, media, or technology industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience independently drafting and reviewing EU commercial and IP-related agreements.
  • Experience with software and content licensing agreements, B2B distribution and content supply agreements, NDAs, vendor and supplier agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Experience developing and maintaining contract templates, standard clauses, and contractual playbooks.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting in-house commercial teams with contract advisory support, deal execution, and wider business objectives.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted legal adviser to internal stakeholders and international business functions.
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience in EU contract law, corporate law, and intellectual property law.
  • Experience with corporate governance matters, including preparing corporate documentation and resolutions and supporting internal corporate approval processes.
  • Sound understanding of the iGaming, technology, or entertainment industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken English at C2 level, with strong legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple legal workloads and deadlines.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management, e-signature tools such as DocuSign, and AI-powered legal tools.
  • Practical experience in intellectual property rights, including portfolio management, filings, registrations, and renewals of trademarks, copyright, design rights, and patents.
  • Experience supporting opposition and infringement matters in coordination with external advisers.
  • Knowledge of employment law and experience supporting HR with employment-related legal matters.
  • Fluency in additional languages due to the international nature of Stakelogic’s operations.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be required to attend industry events, legal or regulatory meetings, or visits to Stakelogic offices in Serbia or Malta.
