Privacy Lead

The Privacy Lead is responsible for coordinating and implementing privacy governance measures within the company in alignment with the SSC Group Privacy Program. The role focuses on operational execution of privacy controls, internal oversight of personal data processing activities, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws, the Group Privacy Policy, and internal privacy standards.

The Privacy Lead acts as the primary privacy contact for the local entity and supports the SSC Group Privacy Officer in implementing privacy governance, monitoring compliance, and managing operational privacy risks.

Essential Duties

  • Conduct and maintain the inventory of personal data processed within the company, including systems, vendors, and internal processing activities.
  • Ensure Records of Processing Activities are accurate and up to date within the group privacy management system.
  • Monitor processing, storage, use, and deletion of personal data to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Identify gaps in privacy practices and coordinate remediation measures with relevant departments.
  • Support implementation of privacy controls aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review personal data processing conducted by vendors and service providers.
  • Assess privacy conditions during vendor onboarding and contract renewals.
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of vendors processing personal data.
  • Ensure data transfers to third parties or across jurisdictions comply with applicable laws and policies.
  • Support implementation of anonymisation or pseudonymisation measures where required.
  • Conduct or support privacy risk assessments such as DPIAs, LIAs, and transfer assessments.
  • Advise stakeholders on mitigation measures for identified privacy risks.
  • Coordinate responses to data subject requests including access, deletion, and restriction rights.
  • Ensure requests are handled within regulatory timelines and internal procedures.
  • Support investigation and management of personal data incidents or breaches.
  • Coordinate with Privacy Office, Information Security, and relevant teams on remediation and prevention measures.
  • Coordinate privacy awareness activities and support training initiatives.
  • Work with department representatives to implement privacy controls and maintain compliance.
  • Implement privacy measures defined by the SSC Group Privacy Program.
  • Provide operational support to the SSC Group Privacy Officer.
  • Perform additional tasks related to privacy governance and compliance as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Law or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Additional education or certifications in Data Protection, Privacy, Information Security, or Compliance are an advantage.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in privacy, data protection, legal compliance, or governance roles.
  • Experience in multinational, technology, gaming, or regulated environments is preferred.
  • Practical experience with privacy programmes, data inventories, incident management, and vendor governance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with privacy management platforms such as OneTrust is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Additional languages relevant to operational jurisdictions are an advantage.
