Technical Product Owner

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner (TPO) to lead the evolution and modernisation of our remote slots server platform (RGS), including the migration from our legacy backend to a new scalable solution. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the server platform that powers our portfolio of slot games across multiple regions. This includes game logic management, RNG processing, player sessions, wallet integration, bonuses, and compliance tooling. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, architects, DevOps, and compliance teams to ensure a smooth transition to the new architecture while maintaining uninterrupted service for existing operations.

Essential Duties

  • Define and maintain the vision, roadmap, and KPIs for the remote game server (RGS) and supporting APIs.
  • Prioritise features and improvements in line with business goals, game delivery timelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Own and refine the product backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and evolve the RGS architecture.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and low latency across multiple jurisdictions and high concurrent loads.
  • Work with game development teams to integrate new slot titles into the RGS.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, QA, and DevOps to ensure all releases meet certification and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with Finance and BI teams to ensure proper tracking, reporting, and analytics for game performance and player behaviour.
  • Communicate priorities and progress clearly to stakeholders, including executives and operations teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Systems Analyst in online gaming, gambling, or backend software.
  • Experience with Remote Game Server (RGS) platforms or iGaming aggregators.
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture and APIs.
  • Familiarity with RNG, game servers, wallet APIs, and bonus systems.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum, plus hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills for bridging technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of game content pipelines, RGS integration, and game math models.
  • Familiarity with Java backends.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Understanding of iGaming compliance and certification in regulated markets (for example MGA, UKGC).
