Lead 2D Animator

We’re looking for an experienced Animation Team Lead to join our talented animation department and bring our game projects to life. You’ll collaborate closely with Game Designers, Artists, and Developers to deliver high-quality animations and gameplay using Spine. Responsibilities

  • Act as the key contact for production and supervisors, maintaining clear communication, handling creative challenges, providing solutions, and adapting to production and scheduling changes.
  • Understand Game Design and Game Design Documentation, translating them into actionable animation tasks while identifying any technical or creative challenges.
  • Collaborate with artists, game designers, and producers to fully grasp the creative vision.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the animation process.
  • Work closely with programmers to explore engine possibilities and technical constraints.
  • Provide regular feedback to the team to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries.
  • Set and manage team assignments, effectively coordinating the animation team.
  • Maintain positive relationships with other departments and address issues promptly.
  • Adapt to artistic guidelines and technical constraints, preparing art assets in the correct formats.
  • Develop animations and visual effects for games using Spine 2D and Adobe After Effects.
  • Utilise technical software such as Adobe Photoshop and After Effects as needed.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of animation experience, including time as an animation team lead.
  • Expertise in Spine (animation, rigging) and After Effects.
  • Understanding of slot games and industry standards.
  • Solid grasp of digital 2D animation techniques and visual effects.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Reliable, with strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with character animation.
  • Experience with particle-based effects editors.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
